Case Study

Integrated HRMS for a Multistate Manufacturing Enterprise

About Bringer
1.Client Background

A large manufacturing group with over 3,000 employees across six states operated multiple plants and offices without a unified HR system. Each unit used different tools or spreadsheets for attendance, payroll, leave tracking, and performance reviews. This fragmented approach led to payroll errors, compliance risks, and employee dissatisfaction.

The HR leadership wanted a centralized HRMS to streamline operations, ensure regulatory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS), and offer employees self-service capabilities—without disrupting the complex shift patterns and factory-specific workflows.

2. The Challenge

Key challenges included managing dynamic shifts, biometric attendance, region-specific compliance, and multilingual interfaces for blue-collar staff. Employees lacked visibility into their own data—leave balances, salary slips, or appraisal feedback—leading to low trust in HR processes. The payroll team spent over 10 days each month manually consolidating data for salary processing.

3. Our Approach

Warke Technologies engaged with plant heads, HR managers, and a sample of floor workers to understand daily routines and limitations. We designed a role-based, modular HRMS platform that could function both online and offline. The system accounted for union rules, contract staff management, and factory audit traceability.

Ease of use was prioritized with mobile and kiosk interfaces for non-desk employees. We also created workflows for auto-escalation, digital approvals, and real-time compliance reports.

4. Solution Delivered

We developed a fully-integrated Human Resource Management System (HRMS), customized for manufacturing organizations:

  • Attendance & Shift Management:

  • Dynamic shift scheduling, overtime rules, late marks, and comp-off management
  • Real-time dashboard for HR and plant supervisors
  • Leave & Self-Service Portal:
  • Leave request, approval, and balance tracking
  • View/download payslips, tax slips, PF/ESI contributions
  • Feedback and grievance module with escalation
  • Payroll Engine:
  • Auto-calculation of salary based on attendance, deductions, bonuses
  • Monthly TDS projection and auto-generated Form 16
  • PF/ESI return generation and bank file output for salary disbursal
  • Performance & Appraisal Module:
  • Quarterly goals, KRAs, and manager feedback loops
  • Bell curve calibration and skill development tracking
  • Admin Panel:
  • Compliance reports (Factory Act, Shops & Establishment)
  • Department transfers, asset issuance logs
  • Audit logs, event timeline, and exit process automation

5. Technologies Used
  • Frontend: Angular + Ionic (mobile hybrid)
