1.Client Background

A mid-sized financial audit and advisory firm with over 300 corporate clients across India was struggling to manage large volumes of sensitive documents—balance sheets, contracts, GST filings, and internal audit reports. Documents came in through email, physical submissions, and WhatsApp, making it extremely hard to organize, search, or maintain compliance across engagements.

With multiple audits running in parallel and regulatory bodies tightening data privacy norms, the firm needed a robust, secure, and intelligent Document Management System (DMS) to centralize operations.

2. The Challenge

The main issues were document sprawl, lack of version control, human dependency for tagging/categorizing, and poor visibility into what was uploaded, reviewed, or missing. Audit teams often worked under tight deadlines, and even a single missing document could jeopardize a client’s regulatory submission.

The firm also needed automated reminders, e-signature workflows, and access audit trails to meet SEBI and ICAI guidelines.
