Case Study

Building a B2B Marketplace for Auto Spare Parts Suppliers

About Bringer
1.Client Background

A well-established automotive parts distributor with a wide network of garages, mechanics, and parts resellers wanted to digitize its entire wholesale supply chain. Orders were previously handled over phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and in-person visits, leading to missed orders, errors, and delays. Suppliers had no real-time view of demand, and buyers often faced issues like unconfirmed availability or incorrect pricing.

2. The Challenge

The core challenge was to connect hundreds of buyers (mechanics, service centers) to dozens of verified suppliers on a digital platform while handling real-time stock visibility, location-wise pricing, and bulk order discounts. Unlike a B2C model, the system needed to support negotiations, GST invoicing, and dispatch logistics for bulk shipments.

There was also a need for role-based access, multilingual support, and offline order tracking for rural users.

3. Our Approach

Warke Technologies worked closely with the client’s procurement, sales, and supplier relationship teams to build a flexible marketplace engine tailored for the automotive B2B ecosystem. We studied SKU-level workflows and customer behavior to create a product catalogue with deep categorization (OEM, aftermarket, compatibility filters, etc.).

We ensured that the UI catered to both tech-savvy users and local workshop owners with minimal digital exposure.

4. Solution Delivered

We developed a robust B2B Automotive Marketplace Platform with distinct modules for buyers, suppliers, and admin teams:

  • Product Catalogue & Search:
  • Category filtering by vehicle make/model/year
  • Compatibility lookup and smart search suggestions
  • Supplier-wise pricing and minimum order quantity display
  • Bulk Order & Negotiation Engine:
  • Buyers can create bulk RFQs (Request for Quotation)
  • Suppliers can offer counter-prices and delivery timelines
  • Auto-accept rules for repeat transactions
  • Supplier Dashboard:
  • Inventory management with auto-restock reminders
  • Order dispatch panel with delivery status
  • Analytics on buyer behavior and top-selling items
  • Buyer Portal (Web + Mobile App):
  • Easy reorder from previous invoices
  • Real-time stock status and delivery estimation
  • GST invoicing and credit/debit note generation
  • Admin Backend:
  • Dispute resolution module
  • Commission and payout management
  • Platform health insights and buyer acquisition funnel

5. Technologies Used
  • Web Frontend: React
  • Mobile App: Flutter (Android only at first)
  • Backend: Node.js with NestJS
  • Database: MySQL
  • Real-time Updates: Socket.io for negotiation module
